Chock, Chair, Planning Committee, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 9:36 a.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. Honorable Mason K. Chock Honorable Felicia Cowden Honorable Bill DeCosta Honorable Luke A. Evslin Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro Council Chair Kaneshiro: Please note that we will run today's meeting pursuant to the Governor's COVID-19 Response Emergency Proclamation with the most recent relating to the Sunshine Law dated October 1, 2021. The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: "Bill No. 2836 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 10, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE LIHU`E TOWN CORE URBAN DESIGN DISTRICT (County of Kauai Planning Department, Applicant) (ZA-2021-4)," which was passed on first reading and ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on September 15, 2021, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on September 27, 2021. The hearing proceeded as follows: (No written testimony was received and no registered speakers requested to testify regarding this agenda item.) Committee Chair Chock: Do we have any registered testifiers? Seeing none, this Bill will be headed to Committee Meeting in two (2) weeks and this concludes the Public Hearing for Bill No. 2836.
