BUSINESS
AAC 2020-1 Election of Chair and Vice Chair for Calendar Year 2020.
AAC 2020-2 Discussion and possible recommendation to the Planning Commission on the
permit application submitted by Applicant KHS, LLC, to the Planning
Department for permit no. Z-IV-2020-4, SMA (U) 2020-2, TMK 4-3-007:028
which proposes the removal of fifty-four (54) coconut trees, otherwise known as
Niu Coconut-palm or Coco nucifera, which are part of the designated
Exceptional K-12 Coconut Grove. The grove extends both makai and mauka of
Highway 56 (Kūhiō Highway) at Waipouli: TMK 4-3-6-2, 4-3-7-27, 28 and 29.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, (“H.R.S.”) §92-7(a), the Committee may, when deemed
necessary, hold an Executive Session on any agenda item without written public notice if the
Executive Session was not anticipated in advance. Any such Executive Session shall be held
pursuant to §92-4, H.R.S. and shall be limited to those items described in H.R.S. 92-5 (a).
Discussions held in Executive Session are closed to the public.

SPEAKER REGISTRATION
Prior to the Day of the Meeting: Persons wishing to testify are requested to register their name,
phone number, and agenda item via email at mromo@kauai.gov or by calling 808 241-4920. The
length of time allocated to persons wishing to present verbal testimony may be limited at the
discretion of the chairperson or presiding member.
On the Day of the Meeting: Persons who have not registered to testify by the time the
Committee meeting begins will be given an opportunity to speak on an item following oral
testimony.
