Chock, Chair, Planning Committee, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 8:37 a.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. Honorable Mason K. Chock Honorable Felicia Cowden Honorable Bill DeCosta Honorable Luke A. Evslin Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: Bill No. 2881 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING DESIGNATION IN KAPAA HOMESTEADS, KAUAI (Manuel DeSilva, Jr., Trustee,Applicant) (ZA-2022-13)," which was passed on first reading and ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on August 17, 2022, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on August 25, 2022. The hearing proceeded as follows: Committee Chair Chock: This is a companion Bill to the last one. Is there anyone in the audience or on Zoom wishing to testify on Bill No. 2881? JONATHAN CHUN: Again, I am here on behalf of the applicant, Mr. DeSilva. I will just repeat what we said for the last Bill. These are related bills. Thank you very much.
