Menehune Road closed near Waimea Swinging Bridge
WAIMEA – Menehune Road is closed near the vicinity of the Waimea Swinging Bridge until
further notice due to a landslide that occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
Officials are on scene and first responders are on standby. Affected residents are urged to avoid
the dangerous conditions. Anyone needing emergency access during the closure should contact 911.
There is no timeline yet on when the road will be reopened. Updates will be provided as
information becomes available.
