DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR News Release For Immediate Release: February 28, 2022 COUNTY OF KAUA‘I DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TROY TANIGAWA, ACTING COUNTY ENGINEER (808) 241-4993 County of Kaua‘i and the Hawai‘i State Department of Health sponsors school eWaste recycling contest LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division with the Hawai‘i State Department of Health are sponsoring an Electronic Waste (eWaste) recycling contest that runs from March 1 to 31. The contest is open to all public, private, and home school students in Kaua‘i. Teachers and students or family and friends of students interested in this contest can visit www.kauai.gov/recycling for more information. Teachers can request a packet via email, including contest rules and contest tickets. Prizes this year include outdoor adventure activities from local businesses. Anyone with questions may contact Shantelle Rego at srego@kauai.gov or call 241-4336. eWaste recycling services are provided by Resource Recovery Solutions operating out of Puhi Metals Recycling Facility located at 3951 Puhi Road, Monday to Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, contact Shantelle at the number and email above as soon as possible.
