County of Kaua‘i and the Hawai‘i State Department of Health sponsors school
eWaste recycling contest
LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division with the
Hawai‘i State Department of Health are sponsoring an Electronic Waste (eWaste) recycling contest
that runs from March 1 to 31.
The contest is open to all public, private, and home school students in Kaua‘i. Teachers and
students or family and friends of students interested in this contest can visit
www.kauai.gov/recycling for more information. Teachers can request a packet via email, including
contest rules and contest tickets. Prizes this year include outdoor adventure activities from local
businesses.

eWaste recycling services are provided by Resource Recovery Solutions operating out of
Puhi Metals Recycling Facility located at 3951 Puhi Road, Monday to Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m.
