Kauaʿi police seek help with finding missing local man
LĪHU‘E – Multiple agencies are conducting search operations for Moses Gardner, a 50-year-old
male of Lāwaʿi who went missing after hiking into Kōke‘e in the vicinity of the Pu`u Hinahina Lookout on
Sunday, May 8th.
Gardner is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighs 240 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and is of
Hawaiian descent. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a camouflage
backpack.
The multi-agency search party includes the Kaua‘i Police Department, Kaua‘i Fire Department,
Kaua‘i Search and Rescue Team, and the Department of Land and Natural resources.
Further details will be provided by the Kaua‘i Police Department as the case progresses.
