DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR News Release For Immediate Release: March 1, 2022 COUNTY OF KAUA‘I DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE REIKO MATSUYAMA, DIRECTOR (808) 241-4200 Motor Vehicle Registration at the DMV will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 LĪHU‘E – The Motor Vehicle Registration division of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will be closing at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, to accommodate a staff training. Normal hours will resume on Friday, March 4. The last customers of the Motor Vehicle Registration division will be seen at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Drivers Licensing division of the DMV will remain open during regular operating hours. The DMV is open Monday to Friday, except for state and federal holidays, to all customers from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kupuna Hour for customers aged 65 and older is from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with no appointments necessary. Appointments are encouraged, and those with scheduled appointments may check in up to 15 minutes prior to their appointment time. If you are more than 5 minutes late, the appointment will be canceled and you will then be considered a walk-in customer. E-ticket and walk-in customers will be served as time permits.
