The purpose of the Kaua‘i CAP is to analyze the county’s vulnerability to climate change and provide recommendations to build resiliency into county policies, programs, and investments across multiple sectors. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to engage with the community to establish a collaborative, long-term roadmap for equitable sustainable adaptation. “The county’s ability to provide services and infrastructure to the community will be drastically impacted by the changing climate,” said Kaʻāina Hull, Planning Director. “We want to engage residents to figure out which adaptation actions work best for our community.” A virtual open house will be held on Wednesday, March 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., via Zoom. Interested participants are asked to pre-register on the Kaua‘i CAP website, kauaiadaptation.com, or by clicking on the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEuf-6hpjMvGNCPmo5vYdU3bAkMu18spQch.
