POʿIPŪ – Mack Lewis, a 50-year-old visitor from California, died of an apparent drowning on

According to a preliminary report, a call was made to the Kauaʿi Police Department’s Dispatch
Center around 2:00 pm that indicated that a man was found unresponsive in the sand bar off Poʿipū
Beach.
