Road Closure scheduled for Kahuna Road near Akulikuli Bridge in Kapa’a March 13 to March
17
KAPA‘A - The Department of Public Works and its contractor Yogi Kwong Engineers, LLC
announces that a portion of Kahuna Road near Akulikuli Bridge in Kapa’a will be closed March 13 to
March 17, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The closure is necessary for boring work for future improvements for Akulikuli Bridge.
Kahuna Road will be closed near Akulikuli Bridge, in the vicinity of 6709 B Kahuna Road and 6734
A Kahuna Road – please see the below map to better indicate the area.
During the closure, Waiakea Road, Ahiahi Road, and Kahuna Road addresses between 6257 and
6629 D and 6734 A, can be accessed via the first entrance to Kahuna Road. Kahuna Road addresses 6735
(and greater), and 6709 B can be accessed via the end of Kawaihau Road.
Please make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closure and allow
extra time to reach the destinations. Road closure signs will be posted in the area.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and drive slowly when nearing the work area. Should
