BLANE, CHIEF OF STAFF (808) 241-4900 County announces holiday closures LĪHU‘E – In observance of the Prince Kūhiō Day holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices and all neighborhood centers will be closed on Monday, March 27. Refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha landfill will be closed for the holiday on Sunday, March 26, but will open on Monday, March 27. In addition, the Waimea swimming pool will observe the holiday on March 28 since the pool is normally closed on Mondays. The HI5 Bottle Redemption Center operated by Reynolds at the Kaua‘i Resource Center in Līhu‘e will be open on Monday, March 27. Please see www.kauai.gov/HI5 for location information. The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule. Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on March 28.
