Household Hazardous Waste event scheduled March 25 and 26
LĪHU‘E – The Public Works Solid Waste Division announces that Household Hazardous Waste
(HHW) events are scheduled on March 25 and 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday events on March 25 will be at the Hanapēpē and the Kapa‘a base yards located at 4380
Lele Road and 4900 Kahau Road.
HHW events on Sunday, March 26, will occur at the Anaina Hou Community Park behind the
mini-golf course at 5-2723 Kūhiō Highway and the Kaua‘i Resource Center at 3460 Ahukini Road in front
of the Līhu‘e refuse transfer station.
Please do not bring refuse or electronic waste to the Household Hazardous Waste events. These
items will not be accepted. This is for residential material drop-off only. Businesses, government
agencies, non-profits, and farmers should not bring material here.
As a reminder, refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha Landfill will be closed on Sunday, March
26, in observance of the Prince Kūhiō Day Holiday. Transfer stations and the landfill will resume service
on Monday, March 27.
