Liquor Department educates youth on alcohol abuse and awareness
LĪHU‘E – Liquor investigators from the Kaua‘i Department of Liquor Control partnered with the
Boys & Girls Club of Hawai‘i, Līhu‘e Clubhouse, on April 13, to educate youth on the dangers, effects, and
consequences of consuming alcohol prior to the legal drinking age of 21.
As part of the Kaua‘i Department of Liquor Control’s efforts to participate in Alcohol Awareness
Month in April, liquor investigators also plan to conduct alcohol awareness programs throughout the
island at several non-profit organizations, private schools, and public schools. Presentations can be
scheduled with other organizations upon request.
“With an ongoing goal to educate and serve our community, we encourage any non-profit or
other organizations to contact us at the Department of Liquor Control to learn more about alcohol
safety,” said Director of Liquor Control Leo Sandoval-Reyes.
For more information or to request a presentation for your organization, please contact the
Department of Liquor Control at 808-241-4966.
