Lane closures scheduled for Kawaihau Road from May 24 to 25
KAPA‘A – The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders are
announcing that portions of Kawaihau Road in Kapa‘a will be closed from Wednesday, May 24, to
Thursday, May 25, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
This is a one-lane closure of Kawaihau Road, from Kahuna Road to Hau‘a‘ala Road, which is
necessary for road resurfacing work.
Motorists are asked to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road
closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking
will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct
traffic.
