THE EXISTING AC AND BASECOURSE WILL BE REMOVED, AND A NEW CONCRETE DECK WILL BE PLACED ONTOP OF THE ORIGINAL DECK ALONG WITH AN ASPHALT OVERLAY. IN ADDITION,THE ELEVATED WALKWAY ON THE MAKAI SIDE OF THE BRIDGE WILL BEREMOVED AND REPLACED WITH NEW PREFORMED CONCRETE SLABS FOR THEWALKWAY SURFACE AND SIDES, NEW SUPPORT BRACKETS, AND NEW METALRAILINGS WITH ADDITIONAL HORIZONTAL MEMBERS TO MEET EXISTINGBUILDING CODES DUE TO THE LARGE OPENINGS IN THE EXISTING RAILINGDESIGN.
