SEPTEMBER 25, 2024
A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by
KipuKai Kuali`i, Presiding Officer, on September 25, 2024, at 8:49 a.m., at the Council
Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the
presence of the following was noted:
Honorable Addison Bulosan
Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr.
Honorable Felicia Cowden
Honorable Bill DeCosta
Honorable Ross Kagawa
Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i
Excused: Honorable Mel Rapozo
The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following:
"Bill No. 2932 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND
CHAPTER 22 OF THE KAUA`I COUNTY CODE 1987 BY AMENDING
SECTION 22-5.4 TO ADD TO THE LIST OF EXCEPTIONAL TREES (In the
center of the Sun Village Complex TMK• 3-7-001:017),"
which was passed on first reading and ordered to print by the Council of the County
of Kaua`i on August 28, 2024 and published in The Garden Island newspaper on
September 5, 2024.
JADE K. FOUNTAIN-TANIGAWA, County Clerk: Vice Chair, there are no
registered speakers and no one signed up on Zoom.
Council Vice Chair Kuali`i: There are no registered speakers and no one
on Zoom, but is there anyone in the audience who would like to testify? Seeing none,
this public hearing is closed.
(Note: No one from the public testified on the Bill via written testimony or oral
testimony taken at the beginning of the meeting via the Zoom remote
technology platform.)
There being no one present to testify on this matter, the public hearing
adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
