A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by
Mel Rapozo, Chair, Committee of the Whole, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.,
at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building,
Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted:

Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr.
Honorable Felicia Cowden
Honorable Bill DeCosta
Honorable Ross Kagawa
Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i
Honorable Mel Rapozo
The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following:
"Resolution No. 2024-13 — RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE REAL
PROPERTY TAX RATES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024 TO
JUNE 30, 2025 FOR THE COUNTY OF KAUAI," and
"Bill No. 2916 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE
OPERATING BUDGET AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024 TO JUNE 30, 2025 (Fiscal Year 2024-2025
Operating Budget)," and
"Bill No. 2917 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR JULY 1, 2024 TO JUNE 30, 2025 (Fiscal Year 2024-2025 CIP
Budget),"
which were ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on March 27, 2024,
and published in The Garden Island newspaper on April 3, 2024.

(Note: No one from the public testified on the Resolution and Bills via oral
testimony taken at the beginning of the meeting via the Zoom remote
technology platform.)
There being no one present to testify on these matters, the public hearing
adjourned at 5:03 p.m.
