HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/14/2024 Public hearing minutes on RES 2024-13, BILL 2916, BILL 2917 PUBLIC HEARING MAY 14, 2024 A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by Mel Rapozo, Chair, Committee of the Whole, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Addison Bulosan Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. Honorable Felicia Cowden Honorable Bill DeCosta Honorable Ross Kagawa Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable Mel Rapozo The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: "Resolution No. 2024-13 — RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE REAL PROPERTY TAX RATES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024 TO JUNE 30, 2025 FOR THE COUNTY OF KAUAI," and "Bill No. 2916 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024 TO JUNE 30, 2025 (Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Operating Budget)," and "Bill No. 2917 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024 TO JUNE 30, 2025 (Fiscal Year 2024-2025 CIP Budget)," which were ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on March 27, 2024, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on April 3, 2024. Niles, Shellie (for Lopez, Melody), dated May 8, 2024 PUBLIC HEARING 2 MAY 14, 2024 RESOLUTION NO. 2024-13, BILL NO. 2916, AND BILL NO. 2917 Council Chair Rapozo: Is there anyone in the audience wishing to testify? (Note: No one from the public testified on the Resolution and Bills via oral testimony taken at the beginning of the meeting via the Zoom remote technology platform.)
