HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/23/2024 Public hearing minutes on BILL 2934PUBLIC HEARING OCTOBER 23, 2024 A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua'i was called to order by Mel Rapozo, Council Chair, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 8:31 a.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu'e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Addison Bulosan Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. Honorable Felicia Cowden Honorable Bill DeCosta Honorable KipuKai Kuali'i Honorable Mel Rapozo Excused: Honorable Ross Kagawa The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: "Bill No. 2934 - A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2024-897, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CAPITAL BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA'I, STATE OF HAWAI'I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND CIP (Kekaha Faye Park, Waimea Athletic Field, and Hanapepe Stadium Park - $1,650,000. 00)," which was passed on first reading and ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua'i on September 25, 2024 and published in The Garden Island newspaper on October 4, 2024. For the public's benefit, I would just like to say that I hope they notice that they are going to get ... all the people who play tennis are going to get resurfaced courts that are brought up to code. I think it is a wonderful thing that the County is able to do PUBLIC HEARING BILL NO. 2934 2 OCTOBER 23, 2024 this, that the County is able to provide. Sometimes I wonder whether the public really realizes that the money comes because it was appropriated. Thank you. Council Chair Rapozo: Thank you. Is there anyone else?
