SUBJECT: JULY 15, 2009 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
This is to inform you of the action taken by the Council at its July 15, 2009 Special
Council meeting and any follow-up that was requested:
C 2009-247 Communication (07/07/2009) from the Fire Chief, requesting
Council approval to apply for, receive, and expend the Assistance to Fire Fighters
Grant (AFG) Fire Station Construction Grant, pursuant to the American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) in the amount of $5,000,000 which will be
utilized for the renovation of the Lihu`e Fire Station if awarded: Approved.

appropriate parties, and please do not hesitate to contact me or Council Services
staff if you need further information. Please note that this memo presents a
summary of the action taken, and reference should be made to the official minutes
