HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/25/2011 Special Council MeetingSPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING April 25, 2011 The Special Council Meeting of the Council of the County of Kauai was called to order by Council Chair Jay Furfaro at the Council Chambers, 3371 -A Wilcox Road, Llhu`e, Kauai, on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 12:05 p.m., after which the following members answered the call of the roll: Honorable Tim Bynum Honorable Dickie Chang Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i Honorable Nadine K. Nakamura Honorable Mel Rapozo Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura (present at 1:15 p.m.) Honorable Jay Furfaro, Council Chair APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: Upon motion duly made by Mr. Bynum, seconded by Mr. Rapozo, and unanimously carried, the agenda was approved. EXECUTIVE SESSION: ES -485 Pursuant to Haw. Rev. Stat. sections 92 -4 and 92- 5(a)(4), and Kauai County Charter section 3.07(E), the purpose of this executive session is to provide Council with a briefing on proposed consultant contracts for the Office of the County Auditor, and related matters. This briefing and consultation involves consideration of the powers, duties, privileges, immunities and /or liabilities of the Council and the County as they relate to this agenda item. SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - 2 - April 25, 2011 The meeting was called back to order, and proceeded as follows: Upon motion duly made by Mr. Rapozo, seconded by Mr. Chang, and unanimously carried, the Council convened in executive session at 12:06 p.m. The meeting was called back to order at 1:32 p.m., and there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
