HomeMy WebLinkAboutG.I.01-26-10phnFINAwebLGI COUNTY OF KAUAI PLANNING DEPARTMENT LIHUE, KAUAI NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, of a public hearing to be held by the County of Kauai Planning Commission at the Lihue Civic Center, Mo ikeha Building, Meeting Room 2A-213, 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter to consider under the provisions of Chapter 8 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, the following: 1. Zoning Amendment ZA-2010-6 to amend the zoning from Open District (0) to Residential District (R-4) for a property located in Waimea Valley, Kauai, approx. 350 ft. east of the Maile Road and Waimea Valley Road intersection, further identified as Tax Map Key 1-6-5: 18, and containing an area of approx. 45,280 sq.ft. 2. Request to Amend Condition No. 19, sub d), e), f) and h) of Zoning Ordinance PM-2004-370, and Conditions No. 3 and No. 4 of Zoning Ordinance No. PM-2005-374 relating to the Kukuiula Workfrorce Housing project which is adjacent to and east of Pdipu Road on former McBryde Sugar Company plantation lands, located on Tax Map Key 2-6-4:por. 19, and containing an area of 9.4 acres,more or less. 3. Use Permit U-2001-13 and Class IV Zoning Permit Z-IV-2001-17 to permit the replacement of a 40 ft. high monopole with a 70 ft. high stealth monopine (a monopole designed to look like a pine tree) and associated equipment at an existing telecommunication facility in Moloaa, Kauai, situated approx. 1,400 ft. north of the southern intersection of Koolau Road and Kuhio Highway, adjacent to the Moloaa water tank on Pun Auau, further identified as Tax Map Key 2-4-004: 007, and affecting a 1,350 sq.ft.portion of a 311.598 acre parcel. POSTPONED TO 2/9/10 All interested persons may present testimony for or against any application as public witnesses. Such testimony should be made in writing and presented to the Commission prior to the public hearing. Late written testimony may be submitted up to seven (7) days after the close of the public hearing in cases where the Commission does not take action on the same day the hearing was held. Any party may be represented by counsel if he or she so desires. In addition, individuals may appear on their own behalf, a member of a partnership may represent the partnership, and an officer or authorized employee of a corporation or trust or association may represent the corporation,trust or association. Petitions for intervenor status must be submitted to the Commission and the applicant at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the hearing advertised herein and shall be in conformance with Chapter 4 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission. Chapter 4 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission relating to intervention does not apply to General Plan, Zoning or State Land Use District Boundary Amendments and Rule Making Procedures before the Commission. Proposed plans and the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission are available for inspection at the Planning Department which is located at 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai.
