HomeMy WebLinkAboutG.I. 9-28-10phnFINALGIweb COUNTY OF KAUAI PLANNING DEPARTMENT LIHUE, KAUAI NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, of a public hearing to be held by the County of Kauai Planning Commission at its regular meeting at the Lihue Civic Center, Mo'ikeha Building, Meeting Room 2A-213, 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, starting at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter to consider under the provisions of State Land Use Commission Rules and Regulations and Chapter 8 of the Kauai County Code 1987, as amended, the following: 1. Use Permit U-2011-3, Special Permit SP-2011-1 and Class IV Zoning Permit Z-IV-2011-3 to permit the construction and operation of a solar power facility in Kapa`a, located approx. 500 ft. south of the Olohena Road, Kaapuni Road and Kaehulua Road intersection, Kaua'i, further identified as Tax Map Key 4-3-003: 001 and affecting an area of approx. 4 acres. 2. Use Permit U-2011-4, Special Permit SP-2011-2 and Class IV Zoning Permit Z-IV-2011-4 to permit a helicopter tour landing area for visitation and viewing of Hali'i Falls located on Hah'i Stream, approx. 1.5 miles west of Kilohana Crater, Kaua'i, further identified as Tax Map Key 3-8-001: 001 (affecting an area of approx. 1,500 sq. ft.). 3. Special Permit SP-2011-3 and Class IV Zoning Permit Z-IV-2011-5 to permit the construction and operation of outdoor recreation facilities on lands approx. .25 miles east of the Kipu Road and Aakukui Road intersection, Kaua'i, further identified as Tax Map Keys 3-3-001: 001, 3-3-018: 002, and 3-1-002: 001, and affecting an area of approx. 5 acres.) All interested persons may present testimony for or against any application as public witnesses. Such testimony should be made in writing and presented to the Commission prior to the public hearing. Late written testimony may be submitted up to seven (7) days after the close of the public hearing in cases where the Commission does not take action on the same day the hearing was held. Any party may be represented by counsel if he or she so desires. In addition, individuals may appear on their own behalf, a member of a partnership may represent the partnership, and an officer or authorized employee of a corporation or trust or association may represent the corporation, trust or association. Petitions for intervenor status must be submitted to the Commission and the applicant at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the hearing advertised herein and shall be in conformance with Chapter 4 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission. Proposed plans and the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission are available for inspection at the Planning Department which is located at 4444 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai.
