Stat. §§92-4 and 92-5(a)(4), the purposes of this executive session are for the Council to receive a briefing from the Office of the County Attorney and special counsel on Alvin M. Seto v. Georee Freitas, Jr., et al., Civ. No. 03-00259 MEA/LEIi (U.S. District Court, District of Hawai`i), consult with legal counsel on questions and issues related to the case and consult with legal counsel for the purposes of deliberating and deciding on a proposed settlement. The briefing and consultation involves consideration of the powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and/or liabilities of the Council and the County as they relate to this agenda item.
